Familiar faces at our tables
If our tables could talk, they would tell stories of the legendary figures who have frequented our restaurant. Luis Miguel Dominguín, Paco Camino and Victoriano Valencia all dined here regularly; another regular patron was Ernest Hemingway.
Many classic movie stars passing through the Spanish capital made sure to stop here, including Samuel Bronston, Ava Gardner, Charlton Heston and Alain Delon. Salvador Blázquez Blázquez’s hospitality and gastronomic offering also attracted impresarios and bankers such as Alfonso Escámez and Pablo Garnica.
The tradition lives on to this day, as politicians, executives and impresarios continue to do business around our tables, and cultural icons such as Pascua Ortega and Álex de la Iglesia often drop in to experience the house’s famous specialties for themselves.
Furthermore, the media has recognized our restaurant in stories and reports as a unique corner of Madrid, which is why it has been the backdrop for many notable personalities including Inés Sastre, Sara Carbonero and Tommy Hilfiger.
The prestigious chef Anthony Bourdain included us in his well-known program “No reservations” as a can’t-miss stop on his visit to Madrid.
